Before We Get Back to Business
POLE POSITION SQUAD!
We are reopening September 7th!!! Feel free to pause here for a celebratory twerk! Your team is back in training, getting the studio ready for our new procedures, and keeping an eye on the COVID-19 infection numbers to track the trends. We are ON it, ya’ll. While information is constantly evolving, we thought we’d share some first things with you all, our family, who we’ve missed so dearly.
What Happened To My Classes?
Memberships, class packages, and single classes will be unfrozen Friday August 28th. It’ll be as if this time never happened. If you had unused classes, you still have unused classes. If you were due to be charged for your membership, you’ll be charged so your credits are available and ready for use! The new schedule will be live Monday August 31st. We’ve even come up with a few new class options we can’t wait to share with you!
What’s the cleaning situation?
You know we love a clean space. We LIVE for a clean space. We delighted in finding ways to make our space even cleaner, even more often.
Hand sanitizer stations will be at the front door, in the office, and inside the studio.
There will be 30min intervals between each class for a full studio sanitation; including floors, poles, and frequently touched surfaces.
The studio will also undergo an extensive deep clean weekly. In an article from CBS News, the CDC has concluded that it’s much more difficult to transfer COVID-19 from surfaces but we can never be too safe, right?
All team members will report their temperatures before entering the studio and will wear masks at all times. We will not be teaching any moves that will require spotting from the team during our Phase One. This is so that everyone can maintain a safe distance from each other, students don’t rush to get back into hard moves after this long break, and so that no one gets too winded dancing with masks on. Slow and steady is the key to getting back to our best dancing.
Yas!! So what do you need from me to keep my pole family as safe as possible?
So glad you asked, this is why we love you.
Again, masks will be mandatory so we can all keep our germy germs to ourselves. We have tested every kind of mask there is and have found that the lightweight disposable masks are the most comfortable to dance in. We’ll be keeping an eye on updates and new information about COVID-19 and when it’s reasonably safe to do so, masks will no longer be mandatory.
All reservations must be made online or over the phone in advance instead of doing walk ins because classes will be maxed at 5 students. Our poles have always been spaced 8ft apart, but this will give everyone a little extra space to feel comfortable!
Doors will open 15mins prior to class starting, please come in one at a time with at least 6ft distance between each of you. Please wash your hands thoroughly before you dance! We also have hand sanitizer stations at the front door, in the office, and in the studio.
When you arrive, please stop at the front desk for a cute little temperature check with our front desk diva before you get your dance on.
The best thing would be to have your own mat, alcohol spray bottles, and pole rags, but we will have some at the studio for use if you forget your own. Your team is coming up with clever warm ups that don’t need mats for pole class, but it will be great if you bring your own mat for stretch class!
At the end of classes, you’ll be asked to wipe down your poles and the marked 6ft space around your pole so we can be extra extra safe and helpful for the team members cleaning after classes and the students coming in to dance afterward.
COVID-19 Considerations
If at any point before class you are feeling under the weather, please keep your sexy self at home. We will do our best to be flexible with late cancellations, but with the smaller class sizes it’ll be a bit harder for us to swing, so PLEASE let us know with as much notice as possible. If at any point AFTER class, you are feeling unwell and suspect you are sick with COVID-19, please contact the studio immediately so we can notify all instructors and students. We pinky promise we won’t tell them who is sick.
I wanna come back but group classes worry me!
We got you, friend. You have the option to rock out online only for the first month or you can live your best life with our new studio rental and private lesson package combos.
This is our very own Phase One of reopening, things will continue to change and flex as time passes. When we haven’t been teaching and hanging out with all of you on Zoom, we have been closely monitoring news, health reports, and speaking with our fellow studio owners, instructors, and health professionals to gather information to create a comprehensive reopening plan that best suits our team and pole family. As we gather even more information, we’ll be sure to share everything with you! We CAN’T WAIT to see you again.
